Questions, answered
How consultations and pujas work, what we need from you, and what happens after you write. Especially useful if you are new to Jyotish, or writing to us from outside India.
Consultations
How the four consultations work, and what we need from you.
How does an email consultation work?
Choose a consultation, share the details it asks for and write your question. A Vedic consultant studies your chart, numbers or floor plan and replies by email within 48 hours, with the reason for each suggestion. For Vastu, we confirm the timing by email.
How do the four consultations differ?
Vedic astrology reads your birth chart for questions about timing and the areas of your life. Numerology looks at your name and date of birth. Vastu reviews the layout of your home or workplace from a floor plan. A spiritual consultation offers guidance on faith, practice and inner life.
Who will answer my question?
A Vedic consultant from the Vedic Divine Wisdom team, trained in the classical texts of Jyotish, numerology and Vastu. Pujas on your behalf are performed in India by our learned pandits.
What details do you need, and how are they kept private?
Each consultation asks only for what it needs: your date, time and place of birth for astrology, your name as on your ID and date of birth for numerology, and a floor plan for Vastu. Your details are used only for your consultation, read only by your Vedic consultant, and never shared or sold. Our Privacy Policy explains your choices.
I don’t know my exact birth time. Can you still help?
Yes. Tell us roughly when you were born, or choose “I don’t know” in the form. We can work from Prashna, which reads the chart of the moment your question reaches us.
Will I be asked to buy a remedy?
No. You are never asked to buy a remedy. Where a suggestion helps, it is a simple practice you can follow at home, and each one comes with its reason. Guidance is based on classical texts and is not a substitute for medical, legal or financial advice.
Which system do you use?
The Parashari system with the sidereal zodiac and the Lahiri, or Chitrapaksha, ayanamsa. It is named after N. C. Lahiri, who served on India’s Calendar Reform Committee, and is the standard most Indian panchangs follow.
Pujas
Pujas performed in India on your behalf.
How does a puja on your behalf work?
Our learned pandits perform the puja in India with a sankalp, the formal statement of intent, spoken in your name, gotra and nakshatra. You send the family’s details when you enquire, and we confirm the date and price with you by email.
What details do you need for a puja?
The names of the family members to include in the sankalp, your gotra and your nakshatra. If you don’t know your gotra or nakshatra, tell us and we’ll guide you.
I don’t know my gotra. What goes in the sankalp?
By tradition the sankalp is then taken in Kashyap gotra, since Rishi Kashyap is regarded as the progenitor of all beings. Your pandit will do this for you.
Payment, follow-ups and refunds
What happens after you send a request.
How do I pay?
Online payment isn’t live yet. When you send a request, we confirm the price and how to pay by email, and nothing is charged until then.
How much does a Vastu review cost, and how long does it take?
Each question has a fixed price, shown on the Vastu page and again before you pay. We reply by email and confirm the timing once we see your details.
Can I ask a follow-up question? What about refunds?
Yes. Every consultation includes one follow-up question within 14 days of your reply. If something goes wrong with a request, our Refunds and Cancellations policy explains what happens next.
I live outside India. Does that change anything?
Not at all. Everything happens by email, so there are no time zones to juggle, and your guidance arrives wherever you are. Pujas are performed in India at their proper muhurta, and the video is emailed to you.
